Connie Davis spent 14 years volunteering with the Peoria Humane Society before founding SAMS in late 2010. At PHS she was involved in event planning, fundraising, dog handling and socialization, grooming, offsite adoption events, and filming their public access TV program. In 2008 Connie moved to the country and started rescuing all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, llamas, goats, chickens, ducks, potbelly pigs, and even a steer. Connie works full time as a sales rep but devotes her spare time (and dollars!) to running SAMS.
